Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines what is — and is not — acceptable when using services provided by Verus Virtus, or systems we develop on your behalf. It applies in addition to any engagement-specific contract you have signed with us.

§ 1Prohibited uses

You may not use our services or any systems we develop to:

• Engage in any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws.
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.
• Engage in activities that violate the rights or privacy of individuals.
• Conduct activities that could damage our reputation or that of our clients.
• Use systems for purposes other than those specified in the project agreement.

§ 2Your security responsibilities

When using systems developed by Verus Virtus, you must:

• Maintain appropriate security measures and access controls.
• Keep systems updated with security patches as recommended.
• Implement appropriate backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Protect login credentials and authentication tokens.
• Report any security vulnerabilities or breaches immediately.

§ 3AI-specific requirements

• AI systems must not be used to create deceptive content or deepfakes without proper disclosure.
• Automated decision-making must comply with applicable regulations.

§ 4Blockchain-specific requirements

• Smart contracts must be used for legitimate business purposes only.
• Blockchain applications must comply with relevant financial regulations.

§ 5Data handling

You are responsible for ensuring that any data processed through systems we develop is collected, stored, and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws — including Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and any other relevant regulations in your jurisdiction.

§ 6Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of services, removal of content, and/or legal action. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities when required.

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it immediately to info@verusvirtus.com.
